(When I was writing this I was on the last leg of my trip across Australia to Perth)
30+ hours ago, at 2:40pm, Thursday the 5th, me and my parents left my house and headed to the airport. At 4pm I was through security, my bag was checked in, and I was on my own to find my gate to start on the first leg of my adventure.
Left the Houston airport, flying for the first time in my life. Four hours later I arrived in San Francisco, (first time out of my state that I could remember). Ran to find my gate and grab dinner before my next flight was ready to take off. I didn't even get to eat for 15 minutes before everyone started loading up and I had to get going. 10pm San Francisco time, had us taking off for the fifteen hour flight to Sydney Australia.
9am, Saturday the 7th I landed in Sydney Australia. Got my bags, made it through security and customs (thank the lord for very understanding and helpful people in the airport). Got my bags checked in and got my boarding pass for my last flight, to Perth.
Got breakfast and started rehydrating myself. Cleaned myself up a bit and found my gate (had to move to a new gate later on) and sat down for three hours just casually watching the different planes unloading and reloading. Ran into one of the guys that I'm doing dts with, his flight was late so he missed his earlier flight. Got on the plane for Perth, the other side of Australia. Currently I'm 20-40 thousand feet about the ground. And 1 and half hours before I finally land in Perth.
Thank you everyone who prayed for safe travels, peace, grace, protection, quickly getting through customs & security! (Also those who prayed for my ears not to hurt so much when landing, thank you so so much!)
It's Monday afternoon in Perth Australia. This first week is mostly a bunch of get used to your schedule and familiar with the base and the other dts's & secondary schools that are living on base as well.
