Week 2

It's been a pretty good week, life on base has gotten into a good rhythm-
QT (quality quiet time), morning exercise, breakfast, morning chores, morning worship (or good conversations), "morning tea", lectures until lunch time. After lunch we have afternoon chores, a couple free hours, dinner, and then either a group activity or free time to work on homework, and then get to bed as early as you can (or you'll crash and be sorry for it).

It's been amazing hanging around/living on base, having 34 countries represented, living, learning, eating and experiencing adventures together. And well honestly it feels like church/home to me. Every meal you eat you eat with a totally different group of people, learning (and most of the time forgetting) their names. Beginning of last week the leader of YWAM Perth welcomed 180 new students (that's not even counting all the staff and families that live/work here).

Last week we studied hearing the voice of God and this week was learning about God's nature & character (or as much as you possibly can learn about his N&C in five days.) It was really cool learning the difference between God's character and nature

Nature- just who he is:
Creator
Ever present
All knowing
All powerful
Timeless
Personal

Character- who he chooses to be:
Generous
Holy
Faithful
Loving
Patient
Just
Merciful
Humble
Gentle
Beautiful
Wise
Protective
Ect.

It really struck me how God chooses to be so many things, but also choosing things that all go together. He could have chosen to be a "moody god", but instead he chooses to be things that flow together and He always stays constant to those things.

PRAISE-
As most of you know I do photography as a hobby (on my iPad), it's fun, can't get near as precise picture as with a camera but it's been nice to use. Well three days ago, someone from the YWAM base gave me their camera + a secondary lens for it.

PRAYER REQUESTS-
The out reach phase cost hasn't been completely nailed down yet, but I do need about $700 more, which I know God will provided in his timing. Any prayers for protection (mostly from the sun right now 😉) and peace would be wonderful.
