What's been up

It's finally fall!

Hello,
I’ve been back 147 days OR about five months; it’s crazy how the time has flown. It’s been so weird getting to wear long sleeves, after almost two years of summer in different countries it’s nice to be able to wear soft sweaters, and jeans without sweating. I’ve loved catching up with friends (if I haven’t hung out with you and you want to grab coffee let me know and I’ll make it happen! I want to see all of you.).

This last month and half I’ve been working at the church helping with the middle school and elementary school kids on Wednesday nights. It’s been nice being part of the church, teaching the kids about God and his character, over food and laughter.
While being home, I’ve had the privilege of making friends with people I meet when running errands, and several of them I’ve gotten to speak into their lives and tell them about Jesus. Which is so cool because most of them had never heard of God being loving and so personal.
A lot has been happening around the house, we’ve had birthdays, school started for the kids, and I got to completely clean out my moms favorite garden: ripped out weeds, fought the ants, and generally working really hard to get it done in a week. Totally worth it as mom's garden is clean and mulched!

Well, a couple of months ago, I applied for the Primary health care school (PHC), and was accepted. I started working towards getting my visa for Australia (25 five pages of paper work that sometimes you have to ask certain people about what your actually supposed to put in and wait while they ask other people, haha), after having to do a mandatory health eval (basically make sure I wasn’t lying about not having had TB), I was given the visa! Praise God!!
Now that I finally have my visa I can announce I’m leaving in 62 days, for Perth (December 31st).

I’m still trusting God for the finances I need for the school; out of the original $8,900 I needed for the school, I still need $5,000. Which means God has provided over $3,500 already. Along with the $5,000 for the school, I’m also trusting God for the monthly supporters for staffing.

As staff I’ll be a full time volunteer, helping in the healthcare ministry: doing evangelism in Perth; basic healthcare teachings; helping organize things for the healthcare schools that run out of the base; and if asked helping staff and teach those schools.  I have to be fully supported before I can join staff, which for me I’ve figured out it will be about $852 a month; it would be super easy to meet this need with 35 people committing to give $25 a month.  I’ve already have $250 committed each month; I’d love for people to pray about giving and how much they should give.

I’d love to hear about your lives and would enjoy hanging out, and seeing your families!
Love you guys.

(If you hang out with me I'll end up taking like a hundred plus pictures of you, with your permission, and would love to give me to you. Thanks Mikaella for always letting me always take so many pictures of you.)
