Where I'm at- Primary Health Care School!

Hey guys,
As some of you know or have realized that I’m back in Perth.
I was home for seven months after finishing the Birth Attendant School. I got to rest, catch up with old friends, and be there with my family through some lows and highs of life.

Shortly before I got home, God was speaking to do another school with YWAM and while I was home that was confirmed to do the Primary Health Care (PHC).

The school started in January so I left for Perth Dec 31 and arrive Jan 2.

As part of the base we all get to do chores to help the base keep running,
we got to make breakfast for the students every morning

The Primary Health Care school is a really cool school that equips anyone (no healthcare/medical back ground needed) to meet, prevent and educate on the most basics needs of everyday life. Primary health care meets 80% of the world healthcare needs. Currently we have 10 students from the USA, Canada, and Australia.

So far we are on week 4, in the last weeks we’ve learned about God’s Character and nature; anatomy and physiology; 8 keys of primary healthcare; medical words; God’s heart of the poor and the needy; food and nutrition; eyes, ears, nose and throat. And this week is community development.

Learning the art of how to teach other people

It’s been amazing seeing how practical the healthcare is here and in the nations. How it builds relationships but also transforms lives and communities. I’m torn between wanting to be done with lecture phase and go to outreach already, but also wanting even more time in lecture phase to get as much knowledge as I can, to be the most equipped as possible.

Learning about the ears, and how to check them
Wound care week
Learning the different groups of vitamins, minerals and such, someone got carried away
Learning about the different types of Malnutrition, how to identify it and how best to treat it
Emergency response week, the above and below pictures

Two weeks ago we found out we’re going to Malawi for outreach for three months! We don’t have all the information yet for where in Malawi, or what type of opportunities to do healthcare we’ll have. Our leaders will let us know when they know, and I’ll tell you.

Because we don’t have all the details, we don’t have an exact budge yet, but the estimated budge right now is $3,900; praise God though, I’m only needing $2,500 for outreach. I’m trusting God to not only bring in my needs, but also the needs of the whole team. My finances are due in three weeks, and I’m really excited to see and hear all my class mates stories of finances coming in.

I’d love to have some of you partner with me in seeing healthcare and the gospel brought to the nations.
