I arrived
safely in Perth five days ago, I was just a little excited to rest after being awake
for forty-eight hours straight.

| On Thursdays we have open worship- so whether you have five minutes or half an hour between things to do you can take time to worship. |
Since being
here I've been finishing up the last touches to registration, making sure the
offices have all the information they need to keep track of.
I've also been
learning different part of staffing in the healthcare office. There are so many parts and areas of working
in the healthcare office, it covers five schools, a seminar/short term outreach
team, along side being a ministry and covering two other ministries in Perth.
Medical Discipleship Training school- It's a school meant to disciple you and give you
basic skills in health care that you can use to help others: it doesn't matter
whether you're 18 or 50 anyone is welcomed to be discipled in caring for the nations.
This is the school I did in January, it doesn't matter
whether you have a back ground in medical or not, it teaches the most
inexperienced person how to do primary health care in developing nations. How
to treat the whole body with God.
The Birth Attendant School- This school is very near and dear to my heart, it teaches how
to be a Godly midwife in developing nations. It's a year long and I did it July
2017-June 2018.
This is a school for anyone with a medical degree! If you've
done a DTS (Discipleship Training School, YWAM is very into acronyms), and
you've gotten a degree in the medical field, but want to know how you can use
that in the mission field: then this is the school for you.
This is a very new school that takes the idea of
using health care to change and develop a community- but instead of it
revolving around what you can do for them it's about how they can change their community
themselves with God leading.
They also
cover the Perth Pregnancy Support and the ARMS (Australian Relief
and Mercy Services- the branch in Perth) Ministries, which have an amazing
impact on the community of Perth and really apply the verse of Acts 1:8b
"and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria, and
to the end of the earth." Perth is our Jerusalem so we make as much of an
impact here for the kingdom of God as we can.
Since I've
been back I've gotten to learn about some of the projects the health care
ministry is working on, help with a video, filming a clip and putting it into
the full video and editing it.
I also got
to be apart of evangelism on Friday, as a base we do evangelism every Friday. I
had a young woman walk up to me and quiet literally wanted me to tell her what
I was doing, which meant I got to share about Jesus and pray for her, I really
hope I get to see her again and talk some more.
It's hard to
believe that in two months we'll have students arriving for the Primary Health
Care School. In the mean time, me and my friend (both of us are new staff) will
be preparing for them: getting the school books printed out, get some basic
school supplies, setting up the school room, get some training ourselves so we
can be able to evaluate students properly. (Because the school is registered
under the Australian government, we have to have certain training as staff to
prove that we can properly teach, lead, evaluate, and address things to our
students. It’s a good thing making sure our students will hopefully have the
best experience possible, and learn as much as they can.)
I'm
currently still trusting for monthly supporters, I still need $600usd a month, whether its 6 people giving $100, 12 people giving $50, or 30 people giving $20, or any combo of those. I know that I can't do missions without your support both prayer and financially. Please consider your roll in missions and if that means sending me- let me know!
If you do want to give the best way is through Paypal or my email gingerzimmerman3@gmail.com, if that doesn't work, you can email that address and ask for other ways you can give!
Things you
can pray about-
- I'm still tired from traveling and jumping right into doing stuff, pray I get my energy back and don’t get sick while I'm down
- For more monthly supporters: every little bit helps $10, $20, $50, God loves providing but he loves using us to do it and whatever we offer he is more then able to multiple it to fulfill the need
- Pray for more students, we always want more people to jump on board with doing what God says, and if it's doing medical missions sometimes people are scared to do it: pray they'll have boldness to step out and do it if God has spoken it!
- I'm going on outreach in a little over four and half months, which means I'll be trusting for God to provide the finances necessary to do it. That's roughly $3,500usd (give or take). A lot of that depends on the USA dollar vs Australian dollar and where we go on outreach.
